
Betsy LaVela, GreenFaith Kids Camp director, (a.k.a. Prof. Splash), designs and directs interfaith and Christian summer camp experiences that help children to see that caring for the life and resources on this planet makes a difference. She has designed a series of eco-kids camps that fulfill UN Youth eco-challenge badge requirements. She holds her M.Div. from Bethel Seminary and double majored in Biology and English at Wittenberg University (Springfield, OH). Born in Delaware but raised in Michigan, Betsy loves barn swallows, ducks and turtles - native animals from her childhood on Middle Straits Lake in W. Bloomfield, MI. She resides in Chatham with her husband Joe. They have two grown children. Betsy is also a Kindermusik Maestro of Outreach teaching early childhood music to the children of Neighborhood House in Morristown and the children at Jefferson Park Daycare in Elizabeth, NJ.
